Indian summers are scorching and adventurers head north or to the seas where the climate is moderate. Here are adventure sports which can be enjoyed when the sun is up about and shining brightly.
Trekking
When the entire country is heated up, the mountains lure people for they are cold and bearable. This time most of the Himalayan snow melts and many impassable trek routes open up. Places like Ladakh, Sikkim and Uttaranchal provide great chances for trekking. People opt to take up long Trans mountain treks or simple trek around stopping by monasteries and villages. Take for example, treks from Lamayuru to Darcha across Zanskar in a span of 21 days is quiet popular.
Trekking equipment like kerosene, mats, tents, stoves, waterproof jackets are all available in this region. All that the trekkers need to get is boots, sunscreen lotions, and camera. Hiring ponies, guides, porters and cooks can all be arranged for trekking here.

The best months for rafting are April to September.
Water skiing in Dal or Nagin Lake is in demand. If you do not want to try that then go for a simple gondola ride in the waters of the lake. To make the whole water trip exciting you can combine it with camping. Or you can even try trout fishing along with boating.
